Volunteers Jumpstart Recruiting Efforts
KinderSmile Foundation Board Member, Andrea McDonagh and her friend, Tao Brenner, have jump-started KSF’s recruiting efforts for our new “Give Back a Smile” program by connecting with local dentists, dental office managers and other professional affiliations in Essex County.
Thank you to both of these talented women for sacrificing their time and energy to compile contacts and pertinent information from the New Jersey Board of Dentistry in order to set-up the Give Back a Smile program. With their help, KSF has launched a unique platform for NJ licensed dentists, hygienists and dental assistants to donate their professional services as part of a collaborative effort that will help close the gap in access to oral healthcare for low-income families of Bloomfield and neighboring, underserved communities.
Andrea and Tao continue to donate their time, creativity and spirit to KSF’s recruiting efforts as well as other projects like community outreach and the upcoming annual fund. As Dr. Nicole is often quoted, “It will ‘take a village’ to eradicate tooth decay—the #1 silent epidemic.” Andrea and Tao are certainly part of this ever-expanding village, as are the dental professionals the Give Back a Smile program seeks to recruit.
