Growing a Community Giving Tree
All of the progress that KinderSmile Foundation has made—not just in Fall 2016 but over the past nine years—would be impossible without the support of generous grantors, sponsors and donors! Our charity does not receive state or federal funding, so we rely on a mix of insurance reimbursements, private grants and individual donors to keep KSF running. Members of the latter category join our Community Giving Tree.
Increasing access to oral healthcare for patients who are uninsured or have low-reimbursement insurance, such as Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare, is central to our cause. So the bulk of our income must come from private grants and individual donors who connect with our passion for giving kids a dental head start.
In the last quarter, long-time grantors, Partners for Health Foundation, increased their financial support to subsidize a portion of our Community Oral Health Center’s cost, while brand new grantors, Hyde & Watson Foundation, awarded funding towards a security & alarm system for the new Dental Home. The Township of Bloomfield blessed KinderSmile Foundation with its coveted Community Development Block Grant due to our direct service to those Bloomfield residents who are most in need, and Delta Dental has pledged its continued support of our organization. We are ever-grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with our grantors towards mutual goals that make our community healthier.
In the spirit of community-building, we have built a Community Giving Tree at the center of our Dental Home. Donors inscribed on the tree have gone above & beyond to contribute resources towards KinderSmile Foundation, and we are beyond proud to have their names etched into our new facility. Please feel free to stop by and take a look for yourself! Contact
